William Shakespeare’s schoolroom will open to the public next year as one of the highlights of the 400th anniversary of his death.
Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall in Church Street, Stratford, is due to open to the public daily from April, the month of his death in 1616.
He died aged 52 from an unknown cause, possibly from one of the many diseases rampant at the time.
Previously the building has only been open for one-off events such as the annual Heritage Open Days.
