Gamut Theatre Group’s free production of Shakespeare’s “Troilus and Cressida” features a sound rarely heard during the Bard’s many plays.
Gunfire.
Gamut Artistic Director J. Clark Nicholson has updated Shakespeare’s tale, which is set during the Trojan War, to a setting that is more akin to modern desert warfare such as that currently occurring in Syria and Iraq. The guns are fake and the sounds of shooting are recorded, but it’s effective nonetheless.
