The witty banter of Beatrice and Benedick and the avaricious scheming of Goneril and Regan will animate this summer’s Shakespeare in the Park, thePublic Theater’s annual series of free performances at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The series, which the Public announced on Thursday, begins with “Much Ado About Nothing,” which opens on June 3 for a five-week run. “King Lear,” the second of the two productions, opens on July 22 and runs through Aug. 17.
