Shakespeare in the Square’s First Folio Romeo and Juliet Opens Off-Broadway

Shakespeare in the Square, a group of young professionals working to bring a new perspective to classic theatre, presents a new production of William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, officially opening Jan. 18 following previews that began Jan. 14.

Known for their performances in Washington Square Park, the group, which was founded by Dan Hasse and Rose Bochner, stage the tragic love story at the Gym at Judson. The production continues through Feb. 8.
